Vintage TWA Ball Cap AND Links to Airline Museums + more in Kansas City

A vintage TWA Hat was today’s antique acquisition, likely part of an employee’s uniform -  so many people from Weston talk about their parents and grandparents working at TWA. From 1931 till 1964 the Headquarters were based 30 minutes south of us in the heart of Kansas City. Now you can visit the TWA Museum at KC’s downtown airport.

The Airline History Museum is also located at the downtown KC airport.  This is a great way to spend the day - a couple of museums and just a couple of blocks from the Kansas City River Market which is full of delicious restaurants, an international market where you can find spices, foods + gifts from other parts of the world.

One more thing to check check out if you visit this part of Kansas City is The Arabia Steamboat Museum housing artifacts salvaged from the Arabia, a steamboat that sank in the Missouri River in 1856. It’s a fascinating story where you can learn about families headed out west via the Missouri River, and the beautiful things that accompanied them on the steamboat.
