Upcycle Idea for Serving Drinks on Ice
Weekly tastings are now happening in The Cellar at Cactus Creek. When the first one came along I was trying to figure out how to serve the drinks on ice. I was going with galvanized buckets but they were pricey. The thrift shop had a pile of angel food cake pans and those were the perfect solution for just $2.50 each.
I recently bought this plastic ice and I LOVE IT. It looks real and it never melts - and honestly keeps drinks cold for hours. If you are using it in drinks you'll want to sanitize between uses but for keeping drinks cold in a cooler or bucket, just throw it right back into the freezer.
That's all and now we have the perfect little tasting pod! I can imagine this will be great for keeping water, soda & lemonade cold if you're having a summer picnic or a tailgate. What other uses can we find for these salvaged pans?
