Real Food + Real Talk: Southern Fried Food followed with Rachel Hollis

A couple of weeks ago my friend Audrey shot me a text asking if I was free tonight to go see Rachel Hollis.  My first reaction with zero regard to my actual calendar was YES.  My next question was WHO is Richard Hollis?

What I now know is that Rachel Hollis is a freaking phenomenon of a human being - mostly motivational with a healthy dose of spirituality, and a bunch of ass-kicking to encourage you to reach your biggest dreams.  Her show tonight at the Uptown in Kansas City was a joy and I can't wait to check out her podcast and book.  Honestly I wished she would have ended the whole thing with a prayer and a hand holding kum-ba-yah. We were feeling all of the feelings.

Before the show we went to Lula Southern Cookhouse in Kansas City. You need to go here.  We got there for happy hour and had Peel & Eat Shrimp (amazing) - plus Blue Crab Pimento Cheese Fritter (OMG) - and the Triple Dip of bayou crawfish dip, rustic pimento cheese and spicy ham salad.
