1910 Bathroom Remodel : Planning

This bathroom is about to be remodeled. I’ve been dreaming about it for years - planning and saving to actually make it happen for the last 18 months.
We have a lot of big plans for our living space in the next year and my friend & contractor Jon Truxal is going to help us get started in the bathroom. I’ll post as we go along for any ideas you might have.
The picture below was him trying to bust through the plaster to see if we could uncover the original bricks used to build this structure in 1910. It’s rough under there and while it may be salvageable that’s not the direction I want to go.
The palette above are the tiles and materials that are going to be used. Just trying to figure out what will go where. The last picture is one of my many inspiration photos.
I can’t believe we are finally going to have a real shower! The boys and I have been sharing a claw foot tub & little bitty shower head for the last ten years. The charm of that went by the wayside years ago. What we will uncover along the way is going to be the real mystery.
