Remodel Day 1: Packing up the House

We are about to start the remodel of our 1910 apartment living space. Walls are coming down and the kitchen will be expanded to create one giant living space. A year from today on Dec 1, 2023 we have committed to being on Weston’s Christmas Homes Tour so that gives us 365 days to have a total transformation. 

This week we worked on boxing up some of my favorite treasures including my 25 year collection of antique Mexican Bateas. We also packed up kitchen stuff, family games and a pile to be donated to the thrift shop. The benefit of having a teenager help me was that this one has no sentimental feelings about the things which helped me to shake off my own emotions about letting go of some of their childhood games.
