If you’ve been looking for spring outfit ideas for women in their 40s and 50s, this is one of those easy, go-to looks that just works without overthinking it.
This was my “Sunday lunch” outfit — simple, pulled together, and built from pieces you can wear over and over again in Weston, Missouri or anywhere your day takes you.
It starts with a great pair of brown pants — the kind you can wear year-round with just about anything in your closet. Add a black and white striped cap sleeve top (yes, it runs small through 3X), and you’ve already done most of the work.
From there, it’s just layering and personality. A jacket for a little structure, a good pair of earrings, and a wristlet to keep it easy.
Nothing complicated. Nothing fussy. Just a solid outfit you can rely on when you don’t feel like figuring it out.
