UPDATE: Hillcrest Designers Showcase House SNEAK PEEK - April 2024
The countdown is on for the April 19, 2024 debut of the Hillcrest Designers Showcase House. The Hillcrest House Project is not just a beacon for the homeless who will benefit from its proceeds, but a shining example of how creativity can be used as a force for good in society. Cactus Creek is thrilled to be a part of this exciting project.
As one of the the eight designers working on the project our assignment was to source every design element from one of Hillcrest's three thrift stores in Kansas City. This endeavor has led us to some incredible finds. From repurposed furniture pieces that have been given a new lease on life, to unique decor items that speak to the home's future as a sanctuary for hope – our shopping discoveries have been a true adventure.
With the big reveal set for next weekend, anticipation is mounting. We will be working all week on tweaking the living room space we were assigned, and more shopping of course! This is a project that the community can take pride in, learn from, and be inspired by.
