Junk Bonanza Fall Vendor 2019

Junk Bonanza in Shakopee, Minnesota is a premiere Vintage Goods Show that was established in 2006.  In 2013 my friend Melinda {of Tres Melindas} joined me for our first tip-toe into the world of vintage shows.   For the last six years every April and September we have made the trek from Weston to Minnesota to set up, sell our goods for three days, then head home.  This fall marks our 14th show at Junk Bonanza. We have had so much fun, so many adventures, meals, laughs, and a few tears along the way.

For this Fall show I wanted to try something a little different.  The inventory plan for every show that we do is different based on the size of our space, what the show owners want to have featured, and of course what sells. My inventory for Junk Bonanza is simple - Cactus Creek Cowhide Rugs and vintage stock. I have always wanted to go to a show with nothing and buy it all once I arrive. I did bring these things {pic below}, but all of it was picked the day before in the KC area.  So I had on day and $300 to finish stocking my space with vintage finds.  More about that in the video I posted HERE.

It was a perfect day to be out shopping - bluebird skies and endless sunshine.  I had four hours to find enough vintage stock to finish my booth space and also pick up the Cowhides that we had shipped to the FedEx Freight in Minneapolis. I hit three thrift shops, two sales, and only spent $178.  You can see the video of that HERE - and the final pictures of our booth below.

It was an epic first day and we celebrated with our vendor friends from A Vintage Parcel.  Dinner with them is an opening day tradition I’d never miss. Check out their Etsy Shop filled with bits and pieces.

After three days of meeting some seriously awesome people, gaining a new cowhide wholesale client, deep talks and long laughs on the patio of our Air BnB - it was time to head south. See ya next time Minnesota!

The next Junk Bonanza show is scheduled for April 16 + 17 + 18 of 2020.
