INTRO: Hillcrest Designers Showcase House - April 2024
This April Cactus Creek will join 8 other participants in an exciting new home design project that benefits Hillcrest Platte County, an outstanding organization - and YOU are invited to come see it all April 19, 20 & 21, 2024!
Hillcrest Platte County is a non-profit organization based on the northern side of Kansas City, just a hop, skip & jump from Cactus Creek's shop in Weston, MO. Hillcrest Platte County's purpose is to serve working families, individuals, and young adults that are currently homeless with transitional housing. They fund their mission through donations, events and three thrift shops in the area. They are three of my FAVORITE thrift shops in the KC area. Go visit them the next time you're in the area - click here for the addresses & info.
In April of 2024 Hillcrest Platte County is presenting a Designers Showcase House as a new fundraising concept for their programs. Nine area designers, shop owners, and real estate agents have been tapped to participate in this inaugural event. Each designer will have a little over six weeks to decorate their assigned rooms in the house using only finds from the Hillcrest Platte County thrift shops. The house will be open to the public, with the purchase of a ticket, for viewing on Friday April 19th, 2024 through Sunday, April 21st, 2024. All of the monies raised from the ticket sales will fund Hillcrest's transitional housing.
The house where the Designers Showcase is located, in Parkville Missouri, has been generously offered by Ernst Brothers Home Construction in the neighborhood of Chapel Ridge. After the weekend long showcase the merchandise will be auctioned and those sales will also benefit Hillcrest Platte County.
Join us at the showcase on April 19th - 21st in support of Hillcrest Platte County (HPC). Event details and tickets are available RIGHT HERE. HPC is a KC-based charity organization offering transitional housing to working homeless families, individuals, and young adults in Platte County. Let's showcase for a cause!
