Hiking the Konza Trail I Must-have Trail Gear for women over 50

Visiting my college kids in Manhattan, Kansas I was finally able to go for a hike on the Konza Trail. It was a ten minute drive from Manhattan but the sweeping views of the Flint Hills made me feel like I had taken a step back in time.  There are several trail lengths - CLICK HERE for Konza Trail Information.

My fanny pack goes with me on every trail - from short walks with the dog around Weston - to monster hikes on big trails. After a solid decade of hiking somewhere every week I have a few things that I always throw into my pack: bandanna, band aids, my favorite lipgloss from Dollar General, hand sanitizer, band aids and my Drivers License.
